3 Critical Reasons Why You NEED to Outsource

For those of you who want to see more videos, no worries, I just spend the entire day around Boston filming videos with my executive assistant for this blog. :)

I will be cutting down the videos a BIT, to twice a week and doing text posts for the rest of the week. SERIOUSLY, doing 3 videos a week is a LOT of work. And plus I enjoy switching things up a little and NOT doing all just video.

Anyway, I’m heading to the gym soon, so here the video for today…

This is next video is part one in a two part serious on outsourcing, comment and tell me what you think.

Keep it coming. I have time for this. It is positive.
    Regards,

  2. Best Profit Swami yet, Amit. If you are interested to see my ROI calculations, send me an email.

I can only say, if Biil Gates didn’t outsource, what a incredible missed opportunity for the world; both in terms of the value of his products and the charities he supports.

    Amit,

    Focussing on High Leverage Activities.
that is a very powerful statement.

eg. I can mow my lawn for 1hr.
but if I am making $20/hr in my business, paying someone $10/hr, gives me 100% ROI on that time spent.

    My concerns:
    1. how do you protect yourself from outsourcers who are trying to steal your ideas- Ads, Landing pages, keywords etc.
    2. I hear all this talk about outsourcing to Philipines now. where do you outsource?

    Thanks.

    • Amit says:

      Hey Raj

Concern #1 – I’ve heard that A LOT, almost ZERO chance of happening. Remember most outsourcers have a very specialized skill, they’re not marketers. PLUS most people have just want a steady paycheck from you, they’re not interested in taking the risk to start a business. NEVER been a problem for me.

Also #2 – Philippines is good, I also recommend Pakistan as well, they’re not as well of as Indians so they’re HIGHLY motivated to do a good job for you.

    • Hi Raj,

There’s always going to be a chance of that possibility. What you need to be aware of that clear “demarcation” of business owner and employee mindset. You still retain the “Big Picture of things”… domains, hosting, passwords, etc etc. The thing you have to keep in mind is keeping a good working relationship. There are times when sub-contractors are no longer loyal.

#2) Philippines is a good place BUT rates have gpne considerably higher as more IMs scour the pool of talent. I agree that Paskistan is also good was well. (good PHP programming there)

#3)Aside tip: Everyone can try outsourcing locally (I did)… I’m sure there are some high-school kids/college students that could use some extra income/internship. Relatively inexpensive.. and they learn along the way. Another plus is that you can meet face-to-face.

      Onwards and Upwards,
      Anthony

Heard a lot of great Internet Marketer mentioned about outsourcing. Really have to outsource in order to make big money online as we can’t possible do everything ourselves. It will take up too much time and energy.

  5. Paul B says:

Check your mic settings, the music sounds balanced, but the parts where you talk only seem to come from the left speaker, the right one is severely muted on several of your videos. Great job otherwise!

    Amit,

Incredible timing for this video. I just took a break from writing directions to my web developer to see what you had on Profit Swami Today!

I joined PPCC2.0 when it first opened, and for about 4-6 months was losing my mind tring to learn dreamweaver, html, divs, css. My sister and Dad both told me I should take courses to learn how to build a website. Screw that!

This is how unproductive my efforts were though. I would find a successful market and then spend the next month watching youtube tutorials and creating a website that looked like shit, had tons of cross browser issues and didn’t convert.

I finally had the revelation that I was losing money by doing this myself!. I need to spend my time in Adwords.

I went to getafreelancer.com about 2 months ago and have not looked back. I got a great designer who lives in Mumbai, I will higher some writers for my next project too.

The fact is, you’re losing money if you aren’t outsourcing. In my case I was losing my freakin mind too!

  7. Raj says:

Thanks for the replies amit, and anthony.

  8. Mona says:

    Hey Amit,

Thanks for the GREAT GREAT video. It is a BIG and very important thing to outsource, I used to think it is a waste of money and that NO ONE can do things like I do, until I became overwhelmed and needed to split the chores, it is actually virtually impossible that one of us as our business grow to do everything on our own. It becomes a necessity not a need. Basically like you said Amit, if we focus on the big things then we can outsource the small things and that is the ONLY way to do business effeciently.

    God bless you Amit
