How to Get Anything You Want in Life….Part III

Dream BoardIf you read my last post and you did your homework assignment then you’ve already written out your vision, now I’m gonna show you how to picture it.

This technique sounded hookey and hard to believe when I first heard about it. I thought “Come on, it can’t be this EASY to attract success.”

We’ll wait till you hear the results I got, MIND BOGGLING!

So what exactly do I mean by PICTURE IT?

Back when I was a dead broke newbie making $1277/month I heard about the idea of making a dream board or a vision board.

It’s SUPER easy to do. Here’s how you make dream board:

  1. First find pictures that represent your dreams, goals and vision.
  2. Second make a collage with these pictures on a poster board.
  3. Now hang this poster somewhere where you’ll see it everyday, preferable in your home office.

IMPORTANT: You want to put pictures that represent success in all areas of your life: money/business, health, relationships, charitable contribution, and recreational.

Here’s what I did that I had AMAZING success with:

FOR MONEY AND BUSINESS SUCCESS:

I modified a screenshot from my affiliates stats to show the daily stats I wanted to hit (this is the BEST way to do it, remember your subconscious can’t tell the difference between real and vividly imagined). I first put $2000/day in sales, hit that, then I put $4000/day in sales, hit that.

At that point I was like DUDE this is nuts, let me put a ridiculously high number, so I put $14k. Although my daily clickbank stats never consistently hit $14k (I was still doing $6k-$8k/day at the time), I had one day where my sales shot up to $14k and was ONLY $100 off from the number I put on my dream board, NO JOKE.

FREAKY if you ask me. This shit works, be VERY careful what you put on your dream board because sometimes you may NOT be happy with what you get. (I’ll give an example later in this post)

When a friend of mine told me about the amex black card, I thought it would be cool to have one. I put a picture I found online of it on my dreamboard and 8 months later I had one!

In fact I’ve manifested 80% of the images I’ve put on the dream board through the years.

Right now I have a screenshot from NetJets on my dream board. ;)

FOR PERSONAL STUFF:

Personal stuff includes:

Relationships :

If you’re looking for that special someone find a picture of a happy couple holding hands walking on the beach or something. Even now I have a picture of myself and Shilpi on my dream board to continually affirm our happy marriage.

Lifestyle :

My executive assistant has access to the MLS database, so I used it to grab a picture of a $10million home that’s on my dreamboard right now with all the specs and a couple pics of the interior.

Have a dream car? Put it on there. Want a yacht, put it on there.

Just don’t put anything on there, it has to be something you REALLY want to manifest it.

Make sure you have stuff on your dream board from your vision moment or perfect day that you wrote out last time as well to REALLY reinforce it in your subconcious. Perhaps a copy of your resignation letter? hehe

Don’t forget travel. Want to visit Hawaii? Well, put picture of Hawaii on your dream board.

Hobbies/Cool Stuff:

Ever dream of learning how to windsurf in Maui?

How about getting a black belt in karate? Or getting a six pack?

Maybe you want to learn to speed read? (I gotta picture of that on my dream board)

Contribution:

Got a favorite charity you want to donate to?

Giving doesn’t just feel good, it attracts more prosperity to YOU. I love that I now give away more money in a year than I used to make at MIT Lincoln labs in a year.

Put some seriously though into this, because again you have to be careful what you put on there.

I once put a picture of a personal chef I wanted to hire on there (took a picture right from the guy’s website). Well 6 months later I hired the guy and he SUCKED.

I should have put a generic picture of a chef cooking healthy delicious food.

You can even put quotes on your dream board that you find super motivating. For example on my old dream board I had Napoleon Hill’s famous quote : “For Every Adversity There a Seed of Equal of Greater Benefit”.

However, I later realized you don’t want to put anything with NEGATIVE verbage or imagery on your dream board.

Why? Because in Napoleon Hill’s quote your subconscious mind sees “Adversity” and imprints that in your brain. You don’t want to manifest that.

You can guess what your homework assignment is for today? Get started on your dream board RIGHT NOW and don’t read the next post in this series until you’ve done so.

Here’s a quick and easy way to make a dream board:

  1. Use Google Images to find your images
  2. Use Microsoft Paint or if you’re using a Mac get a program called Picture Play to put together your dream board.
  3. Turn this dream board into your desktop wallpaper and go to Kinko’s (or the equivalent) and get a color copy of your dream broad to stick on your wall.

So what are you gonna put on your dream board? Please comment and share.

    Hey Amit,

I read your Super Affiliate Millionaire Code report a few months back where I learned about this idea of making a dream board. Well, I got my dream board put together back in May. Two of the things I put on there was a 24″ iMac to help increase my productivity for my business and I also had a 2009 Nissan 370Z. Well, I’ve had my new iMac for about two months now, and tomorrow morning I’m heading to a Nissan dealership to work out the papers so I can get behind the wheel of a 2009 Nissan 370z! :D It really works!

  4. Hi Amit,

Nice post. Just completed my revised VISION BOARD…. What a feeling of excitement. BTW, Those NetJets are ridiculous.

    Onwards and Upwards,
    Anthony

@Hernan Congrats… the 370z is sweeeet. Nismo all the way!

Yeah. Tat’s a really cool thing to do as it get yourselves motivated when you see the images of the things that you want to achieve. I have created them and paste it on my vision board in my room, desktop of my computer and even on twitter background :) Need to add more traveling places along the way. It’s really fun and motivating to do all these.

Amit forgot to say we need to split test our Dream Board as he does :) )
