The first time I've read about outsourcing is from the book 4-Hour-Work Week (I think this book has reached the cult status in internet marketing community ^-^), and I'm really fascinated by the idea. And that's why I find this video really cool as it simplify the idea of outsourcing into a more step-by-step basis.

Do it yourself first. Put a price tag on the tasks. Outsource $50 and $10 tasks. Etc.

Thanks, Amit.

great video Amit. I have been exploring options for an ideal place to have a logo created for the imminent Clickbank product we are launching in the next month or two, and now I have 99designs.com thanks to your recommendation. Outsourcing is going to be playing a major role and your advice was very helpful. thank you

I second the fact that this is great timing Amit. I've just started to find myself swimming in a sea of tasks and the idea of outsourcing the most mundane of those is really a fantastic one.

Thank you,

I totally agree, I actually just got done blogging about how Super Affiliates like yourself stress outsourcing. Its definitely the way to go when running an affiliate marketing business, or any online business rather.

Hi Raj,

1.) You should outsource when you have your system AND you are ready mentally to hand the work off to someone else. Cost-wise it all depends on what needs to be done. You can hire per task basis, part-time or full time. It really depends on YOUR budget.

2.) I think it depends on your (net income) budget. You can find good people at all levels. From my experience, US workers are more than overseas workers.

3.) You need a system, a set of instructions to give your worker. If you don't then you don't know what you want outsourced. $10/hr can mean ANYTHING...literally ANYTHING
- Check my email
- Market research
- Customer support
- Website promotion
- Content Creation
- Ebay.com (who knows? LOL)

As for finding help, Elance, Odesk and Scriptlance get thumbs up in my book.

Good luck and hope I was able to help a bit.

Onwards and Upwards,
Anthony

Hi Amit,

Excellent post. and THANK YOU for sharing. I hope everyone realizes that it doesn't take an ARMY of outsourcers to make a fortune. You are a perfect example. Its about leveraging your time to thing you DO BEST and high level activities.

You got it right. Perfect your system, then get someone else to help you with it.

Amen to bookkeepers, accountants and 99Designs! :-)

Onwards and Upwards,
Anthony

PS. @ Everyone:

Please note: Outsourcing is JUST a tool. NOT a fix-all. You must know how to best yield this powerful leveraging tool for what YOU need. Think about your business and where you can free up your time.

Hi Richard,

You don't have to always use your own name for website promotion, unless its absolutely necessary in your industry. I have a friend who posts to different forums for a doctor and what they do is have the comments approved first (set up in spreadsheet with url, comment, etc). Its reviewed, then approved... comments/posts are POSTED. Regarding, blog comments, I have had some success but there are times when the comments are not moderated and the time spent posting goes down the drain.

You can also use pen names for your traffic generation. Why not think about using outsourcing for article directory submissions, social bookmarking, directory submissions, etc etc.

Amit hit it on the head: YOU MUST KNOW YOUR PROCESS BEFORE YOU OUTSOURCE.

This is critical step that most beginners get wrong. You have to know EXACTLY what you want so there are no surprises in the end. (personally, I know firsthand)

Good luck!

Onwards and Upwards,
Anthony
