You know when I look back to the person I was back in 2002 when I first started my journey towards financial freedom and wealth, I'm a TOTALLY different person today then I was then.

I've grown so much over the years, and I didn't do it overnight as some people will tell you you can. It's was a gradually incremental process.

It's not the big deals, or "lucky" breaks, but the little thing you do everyday that are REALLY the key to massive success.

Watch this video to see what I mean...(comment and tell me what you think):

I know, I know, some of you are thinking "Amit, why aren't you posting as much any more?"

Well, let's just say I'm SUPER busy launching new projects right now so I've had to cut back my posting a BIT.

No worries, once things slow down I'll be back at posting 3-4 times a week. I'll keep posting 2 times a week for now; the most important thing about blogging is staying consistent.

One day I MIGHT just turn all thing blog content into a book, well see! :)

Anyway I got a real mind bending video for ya today. This video gets to the VERY CORE of why some people are super successful, some are average, and some are failures.

Comment and tell me what you think...

I'm BEAT right now. My personal trainer put me through the ringer.

I did lunges today (combined with a one handed shoulder press), and what got me was NOT my muscles.

I had the muscle strength.

My heart was pumping like CRAZY. I was completely out of breath.

What got me was my muscle ENDURANCE.

You see my trainer has me do less weight but more reps to build my endurance.

He'll gradually increase the weights as well to build up my strength.

So what am I getting at here?

You need BOTH mental strength and mental endurance to achieve high levels of success. Just like you exercise your body you gotta exercise your mind.

So what exactly is the difference between mental endurance and mental strength?

Mental Strength : Your ability to solve problems, overcome obstacles, and come up with creative ideas. This is a KEY skill for entrepreneurs. Think about it, are there more IMPORTANT skills for an entrepreneur than solving problems, overcoming obstacles and coming up with new ideas?

Mental Endurance : This is JUST as important if not MORE than having mental strength. Mental endurance is the ability to handle high levels of stress and responsibility.

It's the ability to persevere in the face of failure.

It's the ability to get BACK UP whenever you get knocked down.

It's the ability to keep going when your mind is screaming "STOP! STOP! STOP!"

You could be a genius with vasts amounts of mental strength, but if you crack under pressure, when the going get a little tough, then you've LOST.

"Amit, this sounds great, I GET IT! But how do I build mental strength and mental endurance."

Other than just staying consistent and building your business, there's one meditation technology I've been using that has allowed me to DRAMATICALLY increase my mental endurance AND mental strength.

I've been using this technology for the last 3 years, consistently.

This technology not only increases your mental focus and creativity (mental strength) over time it increases your threshold for the amount of stress you can handle.

It's called Holosync and it's the MOST powerful technology I've ever used for personal growth. One word of warning though, this technology is SUPER powerful so be sure to follow the instructions EXACTLY and NOT use it for longer than the instructions indicate (I'm SERIOUS).

I wanna do a quick recap for those of you are new to this series.

In part I of this series I I talked about how there are 3 CRITICAL KEYS to getting anything you want in life:

A clear vision of what you want backed by a burning desire. In the last 3 posts in this series I talked about how to get that. (Links to those : write your vision, make a dream board, experience your vision).

Having an unshakable belief that you will make your goal happen.

Persistent and Consistent action towards your goal

Today I wanna talk about HOW to develop that unshakable belief. In my experience this was the HARDEST part for me in the beginning.

The fact is it took me YEARS before I was able to raise my belief level high enough to become financially free and successful in my own business.

I'm not trying to scare you, but show you that if I can do, I know you can too.

My situation was unique: I had ZERO business experience (physics nerd), very low self confidence when dealing with people, and LOTS of negative beliefs about wealth and success.

I had to read a lot of books and take a lot of action before my belief in my ability to succeed began to rise. I won't wish the years of frustration and pain I went through on anybody. Having people constantly telling you to give up and that you can't do it, doesn't help either.

You see, belief is the missing key for MOST people. Part I of the equation, getting a clear vision of what you want is easy with a little effort. After all how hard is it to get excited and motivated about your dreams?

I mean come on, just think Tony Robbins seminars, Amway conventions. These people are VERY motivated about achieving their goals and dreams, they've got a burning desire. The real question is how many of them actually achieve their dream and goals?

WAY less than 1 percent of these people will ever become millionaires because they lack ONE key ingredient: BELIEF.

In the beginning I had to work VERY hard to get my belief level up, however once I hit that magical month where I made $10k profit in 1 month (Dec 2005) EVERYTHING changed at that point.

My belief level went through the ROOF because now I had tangible results to back it up. For the first time I really started to believe in ME. That belief fueled by a burning desire to quit my job gave me tremendous energy and focus.

I started taking massive action, and even though my profits dropped to $3k the following month I was able to quit my $90k/year job JUST 6 months later with money in the bank and having paid off $20k of consumer debt.

Each victory shot up my belief level and as my belief level rose I was able to achieve more victories.

Let me REPEAT that:

THE MORE I BELIEVED THE MORE I WAS ABLE TO ACHIEVE AND THE MORE I ACHIEVED THE MORE MY BELIEF LEVEL SKYROCKETED.

It's an upward success spiral. It's this spiral that allowed me to go from $20k in debt to a millionaire in just 18 months.

Once you get your belief level high enough to the point you achieve ONE major success (for me it was the $10k month) call it the catalyst, your belief level will skyrocket and you'll be on that success spiral.

When you get there hold on because it will be the most AMAZING ride of your life.

Now some of you may be thinking "Amit, this success spiral thing is great, but how do I get my belief level high enough to hit that first catalyst?"

Glad you asked because there's one specific technique I used that allowed me to consistently raise my belief level back when I was seeing no results and facing constant criticism and negativity.

I'll reveal that in my NEXT post so stay tuned :)

Just recovered from a mild fever that I caught on my way back from Russel's mastermind AND I'm super excited about a bunch of ideas for new projects I've got, so I'll make this post short and sweet.

Can you remember the last time you found fault with someone?

Come on, we ALL do it, even though we'd like to admit we don't.

Now I'm NOT saying finding faults in other people is a good thing; you should definitely strive to always look for the best in people.

Here's how to turn finding fault into a positive...

When you do find yourself finding faults in others realize that the faults you see in other people are likely faults you have yourself.

I've used this technique for years as a tool for introspection.

REALLY.

See and acknowledging your own faults is the first step towards self improvement.

LOL I know this is kinda deep, but hey, what better to follow the video of my trip to Hawaii.

Here’s food for thought, imagine for a moment you were in this hypothetical scenario…

Your online business was really a part time job, and you’re an employee accountable to a boss. Where you had to show a certain amount of progress every week.

Now of course, you are your OWN boss. Based on the amount of effort your putting into your online business on a daily and weekly basis would you PROMOTE yourself or FIRE yourself.

BE HONEST!

Before you can ever lead other people and build a successful business you need to be able to lead YOURSELF.

In my last couple of posts in this series I talked about how to write out your vision (of what you want to manifest) and how to picture using a dream board.

Now in this 4th post in the series I wanna talk about how to actually EXPERIENCE IT.

What the heck do I mean by that?

Is your dream car a Porsche Boxster? If it is, have you gone to the dealership and actually test drove one? What, why haven’t you?

THEN HOW DO YOU KNOW IT IS YOUR DREAM CAR, IF YOU’VE NEVER DRIVEN IT?

Get off your butt and test drive your dream car. Not only will you know if you REALLY want it, but there’s no better way to program your subconscious towards getting your dream car then actually have the EXPERIENCE of driving the it.

Shilpi and I have been housing hunting recently. We’re looking to moving into a 5,000-9,000 sq ft home in Newton, MA next year.

And I gotta tell you it was an EXPERIENCE. We saw some $4million homes (well, the list price) that were STUNNING!
It’s a totally different feeling then walking through a $4 million place versus seeing pictures in some magazine.

Now your vision may be of something that you CAN’T experience until it actually happens. Like for example if you want to take a private jet to your favorite vacation spot with your family.

Private jets don’t do test rides if you know what I’m saying. LOL

If you can’t experience it in person then VISUALIZE in your mind as VIVIDLY as you can. See it, feel it, touch it, smell it.

If you do a good enough job with visualizing it then it’s just as good as doing it in person because your subconscious can’t tell the difference between something that is vividly imagined versus something that’s actually experienced.

Yeah, that’s why the ‘The Ring’ scared the shit out of me, I don’t do horror movies anymore after that!

So your next homework assignment is to EXPERIENCE your vision either in your mind (do it everyday, seriously it’s VERY powerful) and if you can, experience it in person.

Comment and tell me what you plan to experience…

#1 ALWAYS MAKE EXCUSES FOR WHY YOU’RE BROKE

When someone asks how the online business you started is going tell them you just didn’t have the time or money to make it work.

When someone points out that most successful people online today, including Amit had very little time and money when they start, get angry and defensive and say something like “Well, Amit is just LUCKY, he just sits at home making millions while other people do all the work!?!”

For more dramatic flair, point your finger at them and say “You have no idea what I’m going through. I’m stressed out at work; kids are driving me nuts, (insert your favorite excuse).”

Get livid, I mean really livid, and make sure they know ALL the reasons why you will always be dead broke.

Afterwards go to Blockbuster and rent out 10 movies for the weekend and then sit in front of the TV for next 4 hours because “I can’t cut that out, I need to RELAX!”

#2 BE A VICTIM

Never take responsibility for anything in your life. Make sure it’s ALWAYS someone else’s fault why your life is screwed up.

Here’s a few easy targets to blame:

“If you had parents like mine, you’d be broke too.”

“My stupid company won’t give me a promotion because I refuse to work overtime. I’ll work overtime when they give me a promotion and start paying me a LOT more!?!”

“My damn EX and those alimony payments!”

“How can I save any money when those damn cigarette companies got me hooked and now I HAVE TO pay $8/pack.”

My favorite : “How can you be anything but broke when those damn greedy blood sucking rich people are hoarding all the money. We need to tax the shit out of those bastards!”

“If I didn’t have to pay so many taxes to the government then I wouldn’t be so broke!”

“My wife won’t let me do anything.”

“You kidding me, you try starting an online business with kids like mine.”

“Because of my ethnicity (or skin color) I can’t make it in this country.”

“I don’t have a college degree, I can’t expect to amount to much.”

Remember think victim, you’re being oppressed by outside forces you have no control over. Don’t for a minute entertain the thought that YOU have 100% control over the outcome of your life and the results you manifest.

#3 AIM REALLY LOW IN LIFE & LET YOUR FEARS COMPLETELY CONTROL YOU

Don’t set goals or dream big, otherwise you’re just setting yourself up for disappointment. You gotta get this CRAZY idea of getting rich OUT of your HEAD.

Just tell me WHAT PERCENT OF PEOPLE GET RICH?

That’s right shoot low, very low so you’re not disappointed.

Just think about how shitty your life is right now, do you really think you’re gonna get rich?

COME ON!

Yeah Amit’s life was really shitty and he was dead broke, but he just got lucky. Not everyone can be lucky, now can they?

Here’s a few reasons why you should NOT start a business online:

If you do that internet thing and it doesn’t work out, your friends will laugh at you. And even stop talking to you!

Your wife may leave you, I mean family comes FIRST; you can’t take away from that on can you?

You’ll be neglecting your children.

You’ll lose money. You many go bankrupt. You should be saving that money for retirement.

#4 DESPERATELY SEEK SECURITY AND AVOID RISK AT ALL COST

Don’t take ANY risk. Stick your nose down and play it safe.

If you work REALLY hard for your company you may one day you’ll be able to retire with a nice pension. You only gotta bust your butt for 40 years, how bad could it be?

After all you gotta be REALISTIC. Not everyone can be a Bill Gates, who are you kidding! Don’t believe all this ‘The Secret’ mindset manifesting prosperity crap. If you wanna get rich you gotta be very lucky and have good connections.

You were born on the wrong sides of tracks….REMEMBER?

Listen, I don’t care if you see a killer real estate deal where you’re sure to make a fortune. DON’T DO IT…I mean what if something goes wrong, you COULD lose money. You can’t afford that, you need to save that money for your retirement.

#5 TAKE ADVICE FROM BROKE PEOPLE

When you’re evaluating a business or investment opportunity make sure to get the opinion of your friend and family, especially if they’re broke just like you. If they have any reservations about you starting your own business and getting rich, DON’T DO IT.

Follow Uncle Joe’s advice to the letter, who makes $35k/year and has been working for the same factor for the last 10 years.

Don’t read books by those rich people telling you how to succeed (after all they may have gotten rich just writing those books, who knows!).

Take advice from people at your level or lower. And don’t waste your money on those get rich quick real estate and internet marketing seminars, EVERYONE knows that THAT DOESN’T WORK….RIGHT?
